Medical Legal Consultations

As a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon (ABOS, through 2035), fellowship trained in both foot/ankle and spinal surgery, and also with a recent shift in my practice to include interventional pain management, I am available to do medical legal consultations and also Independent Medical Exams.  I have reviewed cases for both plaintiff/claimant, and for defense.

I can offer a full range of medical-legal services for cases involving individuals, medical providers, insurance carriers, employees, and employers.  In most cases, the report is completed the same day as the exam.  In many instances, expedited reviews are available, and I am willing to testify.

I feel that my "special sauce" is my ability to explain the medical details to the lay public, which is helpful as I usually would consider a jury as 12 people randomly chosen out of a Walmart.  I use my website, drwolgin.com, to illustrate normal anatomy, pathologic conditions, and to outline non-operative and operative treatment, with a thorough discussion of risks and alternatives of treatment decisions.  One example is my video about a common procedure for cervical fusion, ACDF.

Record review rate:  $500/hr, and in most cases, no retainer required.
